MEID, ESN and IMEI
CDMA phones (formerly Verizon, Sprint) use the MEID. Its first 14 digits often match the phone's IMEI. The pESN is a 32-bit identifier derived from the MEID with SHA-1.
Anatomy of an IMEI
Every IMEI has the same 15-digit structure. Each part tells you something different.
Type Allocation Code. Identifies the manufacturer and exact model. The first two digits are the reporting body.
Unique number the manufacturer assigns to this single device.

Is an MEID the same as an IMEI?
For most modern phones the MEID equals the first 14 digits of the IMEI.
What is a pESN?
A pseudo-ESN starts with 80 and is calculated from the MEID for systems that only accept ESNs.
